I have compiled a list of the top Appraisal Management Companies and put them in order of the companies that send me the most work and pay the most reasonable rates and have reasonable turn around times.
I love to do REO appraisals for appraisal management companies and would do them all day, every day if I could get enough of that type of work. In the beginning of 2009 that was the only type of orders I accepted because there was so much of it around at the time.
From what I have heard 2010 will have even more foreclosures than in 2009 and appraisers will be needed to complete REO appraisals along with all the other transactions. Right now I complete about 5 REOs a week, and anywhere from 5-10 for refinance, purchase or estate purposes. I have a minimum goal of $2,000 a week, so I only accept maybe 25% of the requests sent my way. I like doing online marketing so I published this appraisal management company list on the side while I do appraisals full time.
